Car Hunters Terms of Use

Last updated: 29 October 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and OneStar OÜ, Reg. No 14870489, Narva mnt 7, 10117 Tallinn, Estonia ("we"), the maker of Car Hunters. By playing, you agree to them. Please also read our Privacy Policy, which explains what data the game collects and how we use it.

Car Hunters costs nothing to play. In return, you give us the rights to your photos described under "Your photos".

Who can play

You must be at least 13. If you are under 18, or under the age of adulthood where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms for you.

Your player

You can play without giving us your real name, email or password: the app ties your player to your phone, and you choose the player name other players see. You can also sign in with Facebook, Google or Apple, which makes it easier to keep your player when you change phones. If you play without signing in and lose or reset your phone, we may not be able to bring your player back.

You are responsible for what is done with your player, unless someone used it without your permission and you tell us as soon as you find out.

Play safely

Play fair

Don't:

An automatic check looks for fake check-ins. A check-in it flags earns no points.

Your photos

You keep the rights to the photos you take. When you check in, you give us a licence to the photo and to the small car pictures the app sends with it. The licence:

You can object at any time to training and collections (Privacy Policy, "Your right to object"); from then on the licence no longer covers those uses for your photos.

The licence also covers photos you sent with older versions of the game.

You promise that you took the photos yourself, and that sending them breaks no law and no one else's rights, such as copyright. As far as the law allows, you agree that we don't have to name you when we use them.

Moderation

Car Hunters has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive players. Don't choose a player name or send a photo that is illegal, violent, sexual, hateful or harassing, that shows someone's private information or pretends to be someone else, or that breaks someone else's rights.

How we moderate:

Contact point for players and for EU authorities under the Digital Services Act: contact@carhunters.app, in English or Estonian.

Points and recognition

Points, ratings, achievements and collections are part of the game. They have no money value and can't be sold, swapped or moved to another player. We may change how points are counted, fix mistakes and run new rating rounds.

Car recognition can be wrong. You can correct it in the app.

Our rights

The app, its recognition, the Car Hunters name and its designs belong to us or to those who license them to us. We give you a personal, non-transferable right to use the app for your own, non-commercial play, as long as you keep to these terms.

Changes to the game

We may change the game, for example to add or remove features, fix problems, keep it secure, or follow the law. If a change makes the game clearly worse for you, we tell you in advance, and you can stop playing and delete your player. We may also end Car Hunters; we will tell you at least 30 days before.

Ending

You can stop playing and delete your player at any time (see the Privacy Policy). We can suspend or close your player if you break these terms; we tell you why. The licence to your photos, within the limits above, and the parts of these terms about liability and the law stay in force after that.

Liability

We work to keep Car Hunters running, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors.

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect loss or for loss that we couldn't have foreseen. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for harm we cause on purpose or through serious carelessness (gross negligence), for death or injury, or any rights you have under consumer law that can't be limited.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, for a good reason such as new features, a change in the law or the safety of players, we update this page and the date at the top, and tell you in the app. For changes that matter, we ask you to accept them in the app. If you don't accept, you can stop playing and delete your player.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by Estonian law. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the consumer laws of the country where you live, and you can take a claim to the courts there.

You can stop playing at any time. Within the first 14 days you can also withdraw from this agreement by writing to us.

Please write to us first: most problems can be sorted out by email. If you live in Estonia, you can also take a dispute to the Consumer Disputes Committee (Tarbijavaidluste komisjon, www.ttja.ee); in another EU country, to that country's consumer dispute body.

App stores

If you got Car Hunters from Apple's App Store:

If you got Car Hunters from Google Play, Google Play's terms also apply.
